Table of Contents:
Hot Off the Press!
- Are you a plus size mom who is sick and tired of thinking of yourself as fat and ugly, being a doormat, feeling less than, not good enough, unworthy, unlovable, taken for granted, and absolutely, positively powerless over food and other aspects of your life?
- Feeling wasted and worn out from playing the victim game, thinking small, obsessed with food, tired of being ashamed and hating your body?
- Desperate to stop dieting, overcome the shame of emotional eating and make peace with food once and for all?
If you're struggling tooth and nail with cravings and food fantasies leading you around all day long by the nose, it's not evidence of a lack of will power, a personality defect, a chemical imbalance, a slow metabolism, rotten genes or a bad habit. It's none of those things. The real cause of your overeating and obsessive 'food think' is an imbalance in your body's energy system. In other words, it's not what you're eating, it's what's eating you! Stress!
Just go on a diet. Right?
Like most other women, I was taught the answer to life’s problems was to go on a diet. From the time that I was 10 years old, I struggled desperately trying to tame the size of my thighs to no avail.
But nobody ever explained to me that we wear our emotions on our body. Every thought you think lives in your memory. Every cell in your body holds that memory. If like me, you’ve lived much of your life living to make others happy, you've learned to be the consummate people pleaser, never say "no" gal. There's a good chance that your body probably reflects that. Perhaps, like me, maybe you also built up a wall. Maybe it's not your thighs, maybe it shows up as a muffin top, a jiggly butt, batwing arms, or a rounded tummy. No matter where you carry your excess weight, there's a gift in it for you.
As women we’re taught to believe that the solution to our problems exists outside of ourselves. In our thin is beautiful, pluck and tuck, chop and drop, image-obsessed society, we’re led to think of our curvy bodies as less than, ugly and downright unacceptable. Don't you see? That’s part of the problem. As long as you continue to hate your body, it will continue to hate you back. That can show up in so many ways from not being able to stop eating those potato chips to beating up on yourself to perhaps one day getting a cancer diagnosis from your doctor. Resentment kills.
Andrea's Story
My name is Andrea Amador. I'm a Professional Certified Empowerment Coach and a Body Image/ Self Esteem expert. For 18 1/2 years, I ran a $10.5M real estate empire. In 2004, after I negotiated the sale of the property and made the deal, my beloved father who was also my business partner, reneged on his promise to split the proceeds, disappeared from my life, ran off with the money, leaving me with a mountain of debt, a bellyful of hate, a broken heart and a ton of regret.
As a gal who has struggled with emotional eating and obsessed with hating my body for nearly 35 years, I couldn't stop eating and gained 35 pounds. My voracious appetite was out of control, until one day I made a small change that stopped the weight gain dead in its tracks. I'm still dealing with the fall out from my losses, but I'm not turning to food. Let me share my secrets with you.
Now I know that during those years that I ran the business on his behalf, I was a woman in power who allowed others to make me feel absolutely powerless. Mine is the cautionary tale to all women demonstrating the essential nature of building a strong self image. Take it from me - It's never too late.
As a body image self esteem expert, I've come by my expertise the hard way. As a gal who's been tossed under the bus enough times, I've learned how to love and accept myself regardless of external circumstances. I've learned that a low self esteem can affect every area of your life, right down to your purse strings. I'm here to share with you the gifts of wisdom I've earned by going through the fire and coming out a survivor.
I've made all the mistakes so you don't have to...
By sharing my experience, telling my story and giving you the benefit of my years of training as a coach and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, I'm offering you the opportunity to gain from my goofs and learn from my 'mistakes.'
I'd like to invite you to follow my lead and learn how you, too can break free of the shame of hating your body, in a non diet, action oriented environment guaranteed to make you feel more yummy!
Here's a quick peek at my trade marked 7 step R.E.C.L.A.I.M. method which is my twist on a mind/body approach to weight reduction using energy coaching tools, and the law of attraction combined with the sound principles of Intuitive Eating.
